  Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?

  i wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.

  could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?

  perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

  flipper: When you see others going through similar crap from the borg, you don't

  feel so bad. My daughter is getting married next week, will I be present, NO I wasn't

  invited. Why should I, I haven't seen her in over 12-15 years.

  Immigrants to the U.S are increasingly identifying themselves as religiously

  unaffiliated that is, atheist, agnostic or having "no religion in particular".

  So there is a slow decline of religion across the board here in the US...

  Recent announcement on literature placements

  i find it interesting that the other night they announced that literature is not to be left indiscriminately.

  they said to only leave literature if the householder engages you in conversation.

  it used to be that they would try to get any literature into every hand of every person.

  Maybe they received complaints about the waste from sanitation workers. A lot of

  trees are cut down for your worthless literature.

  So I guess there will be no more mags in the laundromats, Dr. offices and public

  transportation.

  I also come here for research. I want to be ready to defend the faith or sharpen my sword

  to dismantle their faith. I still have a large number of family in the borg, and when

  the time comes I will be ready.

  According to Clinton, no form of creationism-not even Intelligent Design creationism- should

  be taught as if it were science along side evolution. "School may not provide religious

  instruction, but they may teach about the Bible or other scriptures in the teaching of history

  or literature, for example there are possible venues for teaching about creationist belief, but

  HC agrees that science class is not one of them".

  I'm puzzled, what is she saying.

  my husband asked me a questions that kind of stumped me for a moment.

  he asked, in genesis, when cain killed abel, and god, as punishment cursed him and drove him from the land, making him a restless wanderer, why did cain say to god that the punishment was too hard; that anyone who found him would kill him?

  Talking to my Christians friends and family is like talking to a child.

  You talking trigonometry and they speaking basic math.

  OK 2+2=4, but 70 years for man today can not = 900 years old man 6000 years ago.

  Their answer, yes man lived that long, he was perfect. Oh hell I give up....

  So I try to show the contradiction in their bible, a story most Christians know..

  Try telling them Adam wasn't the first man, they look at you like you have lost your mind.

  I had a discussion with someone, and using their bible shows how crazy that

  story in their bible. Just to get them to think.
